Autumn, on December 15, 2020 at 9:45 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 21

Are you all handwriting the addresses for your save the dates or getting labels made?

I bought some Avery mailing labels from Amazon and printed them myself.

I hand wrote all the addresses for who I was sending them to, but used a stamp for the return address.

For envelopes? Either handwriting or printing directly onto envelopes with very high quality ink at a local print shop. Ive received wedding invites with Avery mailing labels printed out and tacked on. They have a corporate mass mailing look and are so smeared from the elements that it's a wonder the postal service got them to the right location, and many probably did not.

For our invitations, our designer that we used printed every piece of text directly on the envelopes. For our save the dates, we used Minted, which offers free addressing. For thank you notes, we wrote out each address by hand, but used pre-made stamps with our return address.

If you haven't chosen save the dates yet and are concerned about written vs. printed addressing, then I'd highly recommend Minted. The quality of their save the dates are fantastic and the free address printing is a wonderful bonus!

I had them printed from the company I purchased them from. Did the same for our invitations & response cards envelopes. First, my handwriting is horrible, 2nd I just don’t have the time.

Typing or printing is very business looking. For personal or social things, I always address them by hand.

I am such a sucker for old school, hand written envelopes. So I hand wrote all of ours in calligraphy

I got envelopes from Basic Invite with the addresses printed directly on the envelopes. To me it was worth spending the money because my husband and I both have terrible handwriting and it saved me time. I just had to fill out a chart with the guests address.

I had wrote all of mine for the ones I was going to mail, and for the people I see often I handed them there's in an envelope to save money.

Our STDs are in postcard format from Minted! Since they have free recipient addressing, we had them printed on!

Just finalized our save the date proofs! We are getting the recipient address printed directly on the envelope (we ordered through minted so it’s free!) and are getting a stamp for our return address!

    Handwritten for STDs.
Not 100% sure what we'll do with wedding invites yet.

Yup same...I think the labels from Amazon were like $14 for 300 labels. We used the 6521 glossy clear label. All you do is go in and type it up with the pre-made template...EASY PEASY!

I bought labels from Amazon and printed at home with the online template. It was super simple and looked really nice in the end.
