Save the dates

The usual timeline for save the dates is 6-8 months or up to a year in advance if it's a destination wedding. Since this would qualify as a destination wedding for a lot of your guests, I would send them out ASAP! I would probably wait until after the holidays though, just because of how busy and hectic the postal service gets this time of year.

I would send them out as soon as you can. Our wedding is out of town as well so we sent our Save the dates out about a year before. That way it gives people as much heads up as they need to take time off from work and prepare whatever they need to come.

We sent our save the dates 10 months out with a little card with our main hotel block & our website, we had over 100 out of state guests we were inviting.

We sent ours out in December and for our July wedding. We were supposed to send them out in November, but husband kept putting them off and he was the one making them because he wanted them a certain way 🙄

For mostly out of town guests, now would be a fine time to send them. We sent ours 6 months before our wedding, but we only had a few out of state guests.
