Save The Dates

Breanna, on August 26, 2021 at 9:41 AM Posted in Planning 0 16
Hi! Has anybody ever sent out Save The Dates without you and your fiancé’s photo on it? Does it look weird? Is that a relatively normal thing to do?

Thank you!

Ours didn't have a photo; plenty of people go that route. You can design them (and the rest of your wedding) however you and your fiancé see fit! Make it your own Smiley smile

Ours did have our photos but I have seen them without photos, I don't think it looks weird!

The Save The Dates that my fiance and I sent out didn't have our photo on them! They were wooden magnets, and I don't think they looked weird. Here is a photo of the design (this is the example photo from the seller, so those are not our names or wedding date).

Ours didn't have out photo on them. I didn't want to be on people's fridges for months 😂

We didn’t do photos on our save the dates. We just went with a simple postcard design, and I was happy with how they turned out (and how they ultimately fit with our invitations and thank you cards). For me, picking out and designing the stationary was one of the parts of wedding planning I enjoyed the most — do what you like! Save The Dates 2

Our save the date was electronic (via Paperless Post) and did not have a photo. We didn’t do an engagement shoot so we didn’t have a high-quality photo that I loved enough to use on it. I think it looked great without it! Had a similar vibe to our invitation.

It’s not weird to not have a pic! Idk when we will get engagement pictures done since my FH doesn’t have any free time, so we just opted for this.

Ours didn't have a photo. I don't think it was weird, and I've seen plenty others like that! I'm not big into putting my photo on stuff, so nothing of ours has had our photos on it, other than a few on the website.

Definitely not weird! Pretty sure I've gotten more save the dates without photos than with. We only bothered with a photo because we already had an engagement session done by the time we sent them out.

Definitely not weird. We hadn't had engagement photos done before it was time for save the dates. I ended up using a photo of a sunset taken at a place we like because the colors and scenery fit our aesthetic. I don't think a photo of the couple is necessary at all.

Ours didn’t have photos on it because we didn’t get our engagement photos until after. There are so many other opportunities to include photos (we included a photo from our photo shoot with the invitations) that I don’t think it’s necessary

We didn't end up getting engagement photos done so we did a "photo shoot" in Animal Crossing and I used that to create the backdrop for our Save the Date... we used Minted for the text part of it.

Photos on the save the dates is a new trend. They used to be phone calls only. Until the last 5-10 years postcards and magnets took over and phone calls went down in popularity even though they cost nothing. Do what works for you.

Yep I did that! We have like zero good pics and I didn’t want to do professional engagement pictures. Also chose to do a magnet, many people commented on how much they loved the magnet!

Not weird at all! We are sending out Save the Date post cards that match the rest of our stationary. This is the design but our colors. Personally, I’m not into save the date’s with the couples pictures on them.Save The Dates 6
