Save-the-dates!!!

Sakina, on January 10, 2020 at 4:20 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
Is it worth sending out save-the-dates if I'm having a small ceremony and dinner of a total of no more than 20 guests? Or just do the regular invitations?

I would do save the dates just to make sure everyone can come!

Save the Dates are a relatively new thing, and never necessary. Anyone you think needs an earlier notice to not make conflicting plans, or plan work time off or travel, just call and talk to, or send an individual email with the details, ending with, you will be sent a formal invitation in _______. (Say beginning of June, late March, whatever. Exact date sending is not needed.). With that small a guest list, likely these are people who are close enough that you talk or write fairly often.

Personally save the date shave just recently become a “thing”. For years we all went without them so unless you’re having a destination wedding and need to give poorly lots of notice I’m sure your close friends and family who you are inviting to you’re intimate wedding know when you’re getting married.

My guest list is around 60-65 and I'm not doing them. My opinion is they're a waste of money. If I'm inviting you to my wedding then I speak with you on a regular basis and have told you when my wedding is. Plus, invitations go out 2 months before. If that isn't enough of a heads up, then there's a problem.
