Save The Dates

Are engagement pictures on Save the dates really important? My FH and I can’t decide if we want to have one on there or not.

I did not have photos on our STDs.
We are taking or engagement photos in March and had to send out our STDs in December so it didn’t matter to me!

It's a personal choice. There are plenty of save the dates options that don't require pictures.

Nope, we saved money on our photog package by not doing them, and we used a regular old photo of us!

For us it was important because we had so many out of state guests, our wedding was in the summer, and we are of the age where EVERYONE we know is having babies, getting married, buying houses so there are a lot of events throughout the year for everyone to attend.

I don't think they are. I've seen a lot just have names and dates only

It's not uncommon to not have photos on your save the dates. It's totally up to you!

We are doing ours separate. The save the dates are basic index card with save the date on them. We are planning in May to do our engagement photos. And I am thinking of putting some of them up around the reception.

I think you can do it either way. We are doing a photo on ours but I’ve seen a lot of std that don’t have photos. We went back and forth for a while, I really like no photo but my fiancé insisted on a photo because some of his out of state family hasn’t met me before

I’m only using them because we got them done for free and I’m not sure what else to really use them for haha

Not important at all. Names, date, city are the only important part of save the dates. Smiley smile

We waited for our engagement photos to get back because I wanted a photo on ours, but it’s by no means a requirement.

We didn’t put a photo on ours. I wanted a classy save the date and to me, photos on std’s are a little cheesy. Here is ours. Save The Dates 1

We did not do a pic with our save the date. I honestly just hate the idea of a picture of me on people's fridge LOL. We just did a fun, vibrant, save the date and got a TON of compliments on it.
