Save the dates

Sara, on June 4, 2019 at 12:27 AM Posted in Planning 0 4
Just wanted to get some opinions on here as I’ve gotten a few different ones so far. Our wedding date is 4/4/20. I don’t consider it a destination wedding but majority of my side of the family will need to drive two to three hours to the venue. We are looking into blocking hotel rooms close by now but does this mean I should send save the dates months earlier?

Save the dates go out between 8-12 months in advance so you can send your save the dates at any point. Save the dates just need the date and location (town, not necessarily venue), and the wedding website if you have one. You can throw the hotel block info onto the website when you get it.

6-8 months before the wedding is fine. Your guests shouldn't need extra time to plan for a three hour drive.
