Save the dates!!

My wedding is next January. The family that I have coming from over seas I’m sending them out 8 months in advance. Everyone else will get them 5 months in advance. Then the invitations 2.5 months before.

My date is October 29,2021... but I rather do it in advance (this fall) so people can have time to take off and whatnot.

I did mine about 9 months in advance. We have a lot of out of state and town guests. So we wanted to make sure they had time to plan for traveling and requesting time off.

That's great! The more time that your guests have to plan out of town the better! I would say 95% of mine are going to have to travel to our wedding!

8 months in advance

My wedding is September 5 and I sent them February 1. Everyone was pretty local for me. October is a popular wedding month now so a year out is acceptable, if you do a magnet they can stick it on their fridge for a year! I used simplytoimpress.com for mine, I watched for sales and got a great deal!

I'm planning everything in just under 8 months and sent mine out about 2 months after we got engaged. I just sent my invitations out a week ago for a May 23 wedding.

So our wedding date is 5/15/2021. We’re sending save the dates in July 2020, after announcing our wedding date publicly on social media on our anniversary this year (5/5/2020). Invitations will be sent in February for a RSVP of April.

11 months in advance - we have a majority of our guests from out of state.

We did ours 8.5 months out. We sent them out on our dating anniversary.


I'd suggest not sending them out til after your date this year. I know you can put the year on it, but it still confuses some people.

We planned on sending ours out 6 months before our wedding. We had to move our wedding up unexpectedly so they actually ended up going out about 3 1/2 months before the wedding since we'd already bought them lol

I sent them out last month for my October wedding. Mine probably went out a little early, but my sister is getting married this year too and if I sent them this month our family would be getting a lot of information about the same time

STDs = June 2020
Invites = October 2020
Wedding = April 2021
Oh! And this is a destination wedding

I sent mine mid February for an early November wedding. Planning on sending invites sometime mid to late August.
