Save-the-dates!

Katie , on July 6, 2019 at 5:03 PM Posted in Planning 0 24
Hi everyone!
I am now at the point where save-the-dates have to be sent out. We have our list of guests and their addresses. Yay! Now I’m trying to not spend a fortune on the STD’s. Any suggestions on where to find affordable options?

I was just chatting about this yesterday. I plan on getting mine from Zazzle when they have a couple. I've been seeing a lot of people do the same when they come out with a 50% or 60% coupon. I did have a friend just order an invite through Walgreens, and they were ready in 2 hours. Smiley xd Smiley xd

A lot of people here suggest Vistaprint.
I like PP suggestion of Walgreens because you can just have it be a photo or something like that and often times they give promos for free prints.

I used vistaprint. At the time I also caught a good sale. They do have them frequently.
I think we paid like $50 for 150 of them.

Alot depends on the quantity you need.
I bought my invitations which came with 2 extra cards and envelopes for all for $104. I bought them off ebay and you can use the extra cards for whatever you want, rsvp, std, details etc. Oh, also, this price was for 100 of each.
I ended up buying our stds off Etsy. They're wooden magnets and I love them. We got 50 for about $55 including having another Etsy shop print the cards that we attached the magnets to.

Just wanted to give a tip: make sure you send and order enough save the dates PER HOUSEHOLD. When we ordered ours, we ordered one per guest, resulting in 330 save the dates...... so just something to keep in mind because we didn’t even notice until we got them back and we ended up spending double the amount than we needed.... on a side side note, we ordered from Simplytoimpress and they turned out SO GREAT!

Another good tip, get a rubber stamper with your return address in them. You will appreciate that in the future! I only have 2 weeks until my wedding (eeek) and it came in handy for STD’s, Invites, it will be used for our thank you’s and I also used it for my bridal shower thank you’s! It saves SO MUCH time! ❤️

We did our through Minted! A lot of time they will have a “just engaged” coupon and you can request samples of different invitations as well! They send coupons with the samples too! Happy hunting!

Shutterfly is having a great sale right now. 40 to 50 % off. They also have really cute designs, and I know their other products (besides cards) is really great. Sale ends tomorrow.

I ordered 100 from vistaprints and only spent $35. Try looking at the postcard options instead of the actual save the date photo cards. I ordered the postcard but put some of the wedding info on the back of it I mailed them in white envelopes.
