Save the Dates.

When sending Save the Dates, do you use engagement photos on them, or just find some that go with the theme? We are doing a tropical wedding and I have found SO many cute tropical save the dates online, but I'm unsure if we should use those or make some with out engagement photos.

It’s ultimately up to you!! I will definitely be using my engagement pics, well one only!! Mine is a DW so my save the date will be a boarding pass looking one with only one of our pics!!

You can do either one! We opted to not have engagement photos so our save the dates were just a design we liked.

We didn’t just because we hadn’t found a photographer yet. It wasn’t really a big deal to use either.

That's totally your preference! Our engagement pictures weren't done by the time we needed to get our STDs out, so we actually had an art teacher friend make us a custom painting to use on ours, and we couldn't have been happier with how they turned out!

We used all engagement photos. I feel like that is what most people expect to see. In my opinion, professional photos look better on something like a save the date. If you have a wedding website, you can include other photos of you and you FH on there. That is what we did. But you paid to have engagement photos done. You may as well show them off!

We are planning on using one of our engagement photos (we just shot them yesterday!!!) in our Save the Dates. We like the idea of the more professional and romantic look for these items, and the photo on the Save the Date will immediately remind everyone receiving who it is for - and add a touch of personalization.
So excited! Please share what you end up going with.
