Who gets a save the date? Everyone on our list? Guest from out of town?

We have our save-the-dates arrive within the next week and will be sending them to all family and friends that we 100% want at our wedding. We have extras in case we decide to send them to family members that are unable to travel because of age or disabilities though (such as my grandfather and my FH's grandma).

Guests you are also going to invite to the wedding at the appropriate time should receive a save the date.

We will be sending them to everyone we intend to invite. In my opinion it gives them a heads up to expect the invitation to come. My coworker is planning her wedding and she decided to only send to those out-of-town or people out of the loop on all the planning, she’s having a fairly intimate wedding (I believe 60pp or so) and only sent out 30, since his and her immediate family know about it. It’s a good option if you really don’t want to buy them for everyone, but I think even if people know, they can appreciate the fridge art!

We are sending them to everyone we are expecting to invite to the wedding so they are able to mark calendars and prepare for the date and time, etc. Our wedding is on a Friday night, our ceremony will begin around 6:30pm but I am wanting to give people a heads up just incase they need to ask off work a couple of hours early due to it being a Friday night
