A magnet is less likely to get tossed out. You can order them at Vistaprint or Zazzle or design your own. They do not need to include your engagement pictures. Do not spend alot of money on these.

Send them out 6-12 months prior so guests can make travel arrangements and schedule time off. If you have a wedding website you can include the link. The only info you need is your names, your wedding date and the city it will be held in. Also make sure to include "formal invitation to follow" since they are a new thing that not everyone is familiar with.

We got our save the dates from Minted and I would highly recommend them! The ordering process was super easy, the price was affordable, the quality was fantastic, and the free recipient envelope addressing was a wonderful bonus (and a big time saver).

We got ours from Vistaprint. They were great quality and came very quickly. Ours were magnets since we preferred them over paper because people are more likely to stick them to their fridge as a permanent reminder.

We ordered ours off of Etsy- very affordable. Paid a little extra for them to print the addresses on them but was a great time saver! Sent them out in July for our wedding this April.

We got our Save The Date magnets from Etsy! They were on sale at a decent price and great quality, and shipped on time. They were wooden magnets with a really pretty design, since we still hadn't taken our engagement photos by then.

We also used Minted for everything so far. I love that you can customize everything and if you can't figure it out in the design template, you can simply request the artist designer to make a change and they often email you a proof to approve within 48 hours before sending it to print. Designer review/requests are free (at least the first one). Excellent quality. Fast arrival (about 2 weeks at most).

If you can wait another few weeks to order, check out the black Friday sales on some of the above websites. We ordered ours through Vistaprint last black Friday and spent less than $50 for 200 postcards.

I went to Walmart got blank index cards, and envoples from Amazon. Made a template on word, printed the save the dates and hand drew/colored sunflower on them. I'd say I spend maybe $50.00 for doing almost 200 save the dates. (Printed extra lol)

We ordered ours from Costo! Our invitations too! They have lots of options to pick from and they were extremely reasonably priced. Also, the turnaround time was great.
