Save the dates

Janae, on January 17, 2021 at 9:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 8
How are you sending out your save the dates? I was thinking of sending them through text since I'm worried if I email them, they could go to spam. My fiance thinks sending them through text would be tacky.

Anything sent via email can land in the spam folder if it is from an address that they normally do not receive communication from.

Text/phone call is actually the age-old traditional way to spread info about save the dates. Nothing rude or improper about it.
Another option is to send magnets so they see them everyday and don't forget a scrap of paper it was written on.

My only problem with texts is that they can get buried so quickly.

Most people send a postcard or something, because it can be tacked to a fridge or calendar, as a visual reminder.

We sent save the dates through the mail. In my opinion, text or email is tacky. Also, as a guest, I would end up deleting a text or email, whereas a physical save the date I would put on our fridge.

I would send something physical so they don't forget about it. I ordered mine on Shutterfly and they have reasonable prices if you choose something basic. Another option would be to get a STD template on Esty for less than $15, order some card stock, and print them yourself. Honestly, if I got an email or text STD, I would find it a bit tacky.
