Save the dates- who and when?

So I have 18months until my big day... I’ve been making a much of save the date ideas but really didn’t know when to send them out. So 2 questions:
1) when is optimal time to send out save the dates?
2) do I send them to the bridal party as well?

You should send them 6-8 months before your wedding and 12 months if you're having a destination wedding. I would send them to your bridal party, as they're still technically guests of your wedding

Is your wedding a destination for the guests? If it is 12-8 months in advance and if it’s local for everyone 9-6 months in advance should be fine! And yes I sent mine to bridal party as well as parents too!

Everyone invited- including the wedding party and parents.
If it's local to you--6-9 months

Everyone (including the wedding party) gets a STD. We live in northern AZ & our venue is in the Phoenix area which is 2.5 hours away. We chose the venue since the majority of our family lives in that area. It’ll be somewhat of a destination for us & our friends that live near us. I sent out our STDs at the 11th month mark.

They are sent as soon as your date/venue/guest list is set in stone since they cannot be revoked anywhere from 6-10 months before the wedding. The entire guest list including your attendants receive them.

We sent ours out about 9 months before the wedding and your bridal party definitely gets one!
