Save The Dates / rsvp

Alison, on June 20, 2019 at 9:37 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
Ok... I just ordered my save the dates and forgot to include "invitation to follow". I'm not too worried about that, but I did include my wedding website on the STD and I have a RSVP tab... are people now going to assume they need to RSVP since I didn't include an "invitation to follow"?? I could remove the RSVP tab and then add it once I send my actual invites out... advice??

I would hide the rsvp tab until it’s time

Just hide the RSVP page for now. Most people understand what a Save The Date is but you might have a few "old school" people who try to RSVP and/or ask you about it.

I would have the RSVP tab hidden even if you did incude "invitation to follow" on the STD. It shouldn't be available until invitations go out.

I made my own Save the Dates and didn't have room for "invitation to follow" on the thing itself, so I ordered a little custom stamp saying "formal invitation to follow" and stamped the back of the envelopes with it. I actually think it looks really cute, depending what style you're going for.

We had our RSVP tab open when our save the dates went out, a few people used it & booked their rooms 10 months out. They were flying in so knew they would come early!
