Save the dates- popular date

Kim, on November 18, 2019 at 7:31 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
My wedding is 10.10.2020, a very popular date. I’m wondering if save the dates should go out slightly early. Not that receiving our std early will persuade others to come to our wedding verse other events but the thought crossed my mind today 🤔

We are Also getting married next October and are sending our save the dates out in February. We wanted to send them out early, but sending them now seemed like they would get mixed in with the Christmas card rush and I was afraid they wouldn’t all get received. The usually time frame is 6-8 months. I wouldn’t send them earlier than January. Which is ten months out. Plenty of early notice.

I’m also 10.10.2020! I thought about this but I think I’m going to send them sometime around February!

Our wedding is the same day. We are sending them in Jan. We've already purchased, thinking we would send them early too, but decided to wait since the holidays have a lot going on. Wished I would've waited for the holiday sales to buy.

We have a lot of out of state guests. We sent our save the dates 11 months out. I suggest sending them ASAP.

My is 10/11/2020. Keep in mind it’s the weekend of Columbus Day so some people may have off (not all). I just sent my save-the-dates yesterday in hopes of people planning to come! I say do it sooner.

I would send your Save the Dates in January, no later. The earlier guests get them the more likely it is that they can plan to attend. We sent ours 11 months in advance so my cousins booked their trip to Italy a little earlier than they originally were thinking to be back in time for the wedding, my husband's aunt did the same thing for a cruise she was planning, and people that needed to travel saved a vacation day.

Thanks everyone. My mom thinks we should get them out soon too. Since I already have them, I may just send them in the next few weeks. I’m also planning to buy our invitations during the holiday sale next week so it will be one less think I have to worry about.
