Save the Dates/ Invitations

Nancy, on January 30, 2021 at 3:27 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

A close family member of my Fiancé is doing our save the dates and Invitations.

I don't want them to share the information to any other family member. for example like colors and other details that the invitation will have. Obviously they will know once they get the save the dates and invitation. I just don't want them to know before hand. How to I tell the family member doing the save the dates and invitations not to share this information without sounding rude.

I don't see why it would sound rude, unless you're like blatantly rude lol. just say something like "I really appreciate you doing this, you do a great job. Would you mind just not sharing details with anyone? We'd love for everyone to be surprised."

Totally agree- also invitations don’t have to have your theme, colors etc on them. We didn’t use them on ours.

They don't include those things to begin with so nothing to worry about

I also agree with this wording suggestion!! Not rude at all to request that!
