Do you already have your venue? Save the dates depends on if you are having a DW or local wedding usually 8-12 months out. Invitations 6-8 weeks before the wedding. We booked our photographer a year out because he did our engagement shoot as an audition.

Save the dates go out 6-8 months before the wedding. They can go out earlier for a destination wedding or if you have a lot of out of town guests. Invitations go out 6-8 weeks before the wedding. I would book a photographer ASAP. It should be one of the first things you book after your venue. We booked ours about 11 months out and most I had contacted were already booked for our date.

We booked our photographer 18 months out. They book up fast. Sent the save the dates out at 8 months. Invitations will go out 6-8 weeks before.

We booked our photographer right after our venue, 14 months out. We sent out Save the Dates 9 months out, invites will go out 3 months out.

STDs were a 7 months out, Invitations 2 months out.
