Okay, so I know it's early. Like really really early. I don't mind sending my save the dates out early.... but how soon is REALLY way too soon? We received them in the mail this week, and are getting married Labor Day weekend of next year (2018). More than half the guests will be coming from out of state, and about a quarter from out of the country. Would this month (12 months in advance) be really outrageously too soon, considering it's a holiday weekend AND pretty much a destination wedding for a lot of people?

I am semi in the same situation. Fh and I have decided to send the save the dates with our Christmas cards this year. We are doing a Thursday wedding and a mini destination so many of the guests are all out of town.

I'm planning 6 months before the wedding. Nobody really makes plans a year in advance, the earliest I'd even consider is 8 or 9 months.

I've seen people send them about a year in advance.

I did 10 months out because my entire family is OOT. I would wait a few more months. I know it's exciting though!
