Save the Dates for Vow Renewal?

I'm not big on them even for weddings. You're going to tell those you are really close to when you see them, or by phone, e-mail, text, etc. They are the only ones likely to plan their vacations around your wedding, save up for your wedding, etc. So STDs really aren't necessary. And they lock you into a guest list way early, leaving you with no flexibility to cut back if you have financial reverses or unexpected expenses, if you drift away from people, or if you just discover that everything is more expensive than you anticipated.

We are because it is during a holiday i think it is a personal choice though

We are doing them since we are having it in November and that is a very busy month (beginning of holiday season). It does lock you into a guest list so maybe just send them to those you really really want to be there?

I would, it's a big event and you are just letting your guests know. But if you don't end up doing them, it's also no big deal.
