Save the Dates for Guest who did not return contact info?

Sahil, on August 20, 2023 at 1:24 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3
Hi,
We are in the process of sending out save the dates in a few weeks. Leading up to that, we have reached out to our current guest list to collect contact info such as an address for the save the dates. Question is, barring any close family or friends with whom we would follow up with, is it fine to exclude the remaining guests who have not submitted their addresses over the past few weeks? Or Is it etiquette to follow up once more, etc?

If neither of your parents have the person’s address, I would definitely recontact everyone and let them know you need their address to send a save the date for your wedding. Sometimes called is easier since they will let you know the address right away.

Technically, asking for someone's address doesn't obligate you to anything. But people can miss emails, voicemails, and text messages. If they do eventually see your message and it was clear that the address was for the purpose of sending a save the date, then that's unfortunate and probably not a very good look. You shouldn't be inviting anyone to your wedding that you feel are this disposable anyway, IMO.

There are all kind of ways of finding someone's address. I've never had a situation where I couldn't figure it out, personally. Call them directly, either on their cell or at work, ask a relative, do a people search, PM or DM them. Where there's a will there's a way.
