My wedding is October 4, 2020 in Riviera Maya, Mexico and I currently have our shoot booked for June 19th but contemplating on pushing it back now that I’m hearing July may be too early to send out save the dates. My venue is already booked and immediate family are as well. I didn’t want to send the save the dates digitally through the planner because it looks too basic to me so that’s why I wanted to get save the dates sent out early with our wedding website on it with all the info to book. My planner keeps encouraging me to inform everyone now so they can start booking but without engagement pics done I don’t have my wedding website ready nor can I mail out STD’s. Should I go ahead and send them out in July or reschedule the shoot for September and mail them out in October for the 1 year mark? Please help!! Any advice is appreciated.

Which one is your resort??? We are actually thinking on expanding our one week vacation to a week and a half and go stay at this other resort Hyatt Ziva (I wanted my wedding there but family added 20 more ppl so I would have gone way over budget)...! But we haven’t decided yet... im not sure how your resort does it, but mine everything is included in the wedding package... flowers, minimal decor, food, DJ(extra) photographer (extra for after the ceremony), it includes pics and video of ceremony, hair and make up for me, theyll iron our dress/suit, a suite for the groom for the night before, wedding planner, and so much more I can’t think of it right no.. we got the highest package as well. I’m not hiring outside vendors becaus they charge $600 just to bring them in.. so I’m using everything in house... but everything is included already...

Our resort is Generations. The adult resort is El Dorado & El Dorado Casitas. My package does include floral, decor, catering, hair/makeup but it seems like their pricing for certain things are high like the flowers, Dj, photographer. I don’t really like their onsite photographer so some of the vendors I think I’ll have to find elsewhere. They charge an $800 vendor fee unless the vendor is staying at the resort for 3 nights minimum.

Yes!! I guess is a resort thing because if I want any additional decor or flowers is so dam expensive!! And the DJ wasn’t included in our package so it’ll be $1300... and we are adding 2 hours of photography to our package for $600... hiring outside venderos for $600 extra just to bring them in is not part of my budget...! And yours is $800!!! Wow! Too expensive for me!!!!
