Do you suppose to send out the save the dates and wedding invitations together or separate?

    Separately. Save the dates 6-8 months before the wedding and invitations 6-8 weeks before. You will request an RSVP with the invitation not with the save the date.

    Separate! A Save the Date has vague info on it and really only needs the date and general city of the wedding. Your invite will have all of the more specific info!

    With a Save the Date, you're giving people an official heads up that you're getting married and that they're invited so that they can mark their calendars (particularly helpful for people who need to travel).

    As Kelly mentioned, the invitations come much closer to the wedding and will have much more detail. Smiley smile

    It wouldn't make sense to send them together. Save the dates typically say "formal invitation to follow" so they go out first, then invites go out.
