Save the date

LaDale, on April 19, 2022 at 3:35 AM Posted in Planning 8 3

Hello My husband and I are are renewing our 20 years vow June 24, 2023. We didn't have a wedding the first time so we're doing it now. We live in Arkansas and decided to have our renewal in Hawaii. Most of my family that knows said they going were ever we decide to have it. My question is when is the best time to send out save the date for family that aren't aware but might would like to join so they can get plane tickets?

Save The Dates are usually sent around 6-8 months ahead of time. Since 6 months ahead of your vow renewal would be right around the holidays, I would instead try to send them around the 7 or 8 month mark, just to avoid the Save The Dates getting mixed up with holiday cards.

I personally would send them around a year. Buying plane tickets, especially to Hawaii, can get much more expensive the closer you get. Then maybe reach out and remind them around the 6 month mark. That’s what we’re doing! We sent ours a year early since people will have to travel and we’re about to send out reminders (only to those we know need it) a few months before we send invites
