We are doing a mid June wedding as well, we will probably send them out in January so they don’t get lost in all of the holiday cards.

Ours is September 2020 and we are sending ours out on Friday. 95% of our guests will be out of town and we want them to have time to plan.

How are you making your save the date? Are you doing it through the website or sending it through mail?

I didn’t even think about them getting lost in holiday cards! I’m so glad you pointed this out

I know I tend to (admittedly) toss a lot of them so we will wait until the hullabaloo is over and send them mid-January. Or if you want to be an overachiever send them before thanksgiving.

I sent mine out last month. Ours is June 6th 2020. Over half our guest list is out of town so I wanted to just give everyone a cute heads up

Save the dates generally go out 6-8 months before the wedding. You can send them up to a year in advance if it's a destination wedding, or if you have a lot of out of town guests. I would send yours sometime between now and the beginning of December.

I ordered them off Etsy! My fiance and I are huge football fans so I ordered custom ones that look like football tickets Smiley smile

We sent ours out 10 months in advance because we had so many out of state guests.
