I’m sure I’m not the only one in this situation. We eloped for wedding on our original date August 2020 and are planning wp2 for August 2021 so family and friends can celebrate with us and will renew our vows. How is everyone wording their new save the dates?. Renewal of vows? Wedding celebration? Everyone knows we got married it’s not a secret.

We did the exact same (even the months)! We're going to call it either wedding 2.0 or a celebration of marriage.

Thank you, technically it is. We just haven’t had the opportunity to celebrate our wedding yet.

You could call it: Vow Renewal, Wedding Reception (if not doing a ceremony), Celebration Of Marriage, etc.

Call it a Celebration of Marriage instead. The legal part you have already had is the wedding so this is either a celebration of marriage, or renewal of vows if you have the ceremony repeated.

Same! Renewal of vows sounds like something you do after 20 years, not 1 year. We are so close! We got married 8/7 and wp2 8/6. Congrats to you!

I'm having a hard time figuring out what to write as well. We had a 10 person backyard wedding on our original date 10.24.2020, but are planning to do our previously planned wedding with our Rabbi on 11.13.2021.
I feel like since we didn't do all of the Jewish wedding traditions we had planned at our 2020 wedding, that the 2nd wedding is still like Getting Married in our faith, and the first wedding was just legal married?
How to say this in a cute but clear way on a save the date.....no clue...
