Save the Date Wording (virus)

Christina, on April 20, 2020 at 1:37 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

Hello all,

I still want to send out save the dates for my September wedding because we haven't yet, but I know things may change because of the virus. What wording should I use on the save the dates to indicate this? Something like "We are monitoring the current situation. Please go to our website for any changes and updates."?? Thanks for any advice!

I don't think that I would mention anything about postponing until it becomes definite. Saying "save this date, but maybe not..." seems kind of counterintuitive for a save the date.

I would just send out what you have right now as is. If things do end up changing, then look into sending out new ones. Most, if not all companies you get your wedding stationery from will allow re-orders at either a discounted rate or for free.

    Hi Christina,

I agree with the comments above. I would send out your save-the-dates like normal and then with your actual wedding invitation you can send our a little blurb about how you are monitoring the situation.

    I hope this helps!

    Smiley heart
