Save the date v Offical invites time frame

Nefetera, on February 9, 2020 at 7:35 PM Posted in Planning 0 2
Hello All

Me and my husband we are renweing our vows May 23rd 2020. Its almost like were getting married all over again which is exciting. I sent out my save the dates Nov 15 2019 and everyone had until Dec 20th to confirmed. Do you think that was too early???
I was wondering if ppl just clicked confirmed because the RSVP was far away at that time. I will be sending out my offical invitations in march.. is this a good time line??? I dont have to reconfirm with those who confirmed already??? My invitations will be their offical confirmation from Nov when they did confirm. All advice welcome and thank you in advance.

I think 8-10 weeks prior is fine to send invites for a destination wedding. RSVPs don’t go with save the dates for the exact reason that you mentioned, people can’t RSVP that early in advance. I would send new RSVPs with the invitations to get a more accurate count.
