Save the Date Magnets?

Maggie N, on June 9, 2012 at 11:35 PM Posted in Planning 0 16

Has anyone done them? They are so cute and I just designed one that I love on Vistaprint. But I'm wondering if the postage on them is crazy expensive? How did you mail them? Just plop one in an envelope?

We did ours with www.magnetstreet.com LOVED THEM!! Sent them out in February and are still getting compliments on then. Postage is the same, so if you have the room in the budget and really want them, go for it!

    STD Magnet on Free Postcards

    100 free postcard from vistaprint.com

    25 free magnets

    add white envelopes (thin)

    $12.01

and you can then put in a second order for 25 more free ones = $7.61

also use the link (email example above) and 50 more would cost $7 and S&H = $12.67

    3 orders = 100 postcards and 100 magnets, 100 envelopes = $32.29

That is like saying your Save the date Magnets are $0.32

and you are getting Free Postcards to put them on, and Free envelopes (thin).

Magnet can be stuck on postcard on front or back with glue dot or double sided sticky tape.

Ok so do you buy magnets and postcards and glue dots? Can I just get glue dots, magnets, and cardstock cut in half?

Sure you can. But 100 postcards for $6.50 is a pretty good deal. I'm not sure how much cardstock costs.

The white envelopes are kinda thin. If you want to spend extra money, I would get the free postcards and buy better envelopes at a stationary store.

Ok sorry, @Hayley, I'm slow here! So do you get postcards, glue dots and attach the magnets and send as postcards or make the postcards almost into note cards, attach the magnets and put the postcard/magnet in an envelope?

Use the 100 free postcards as a backing to hold the magnet from sliding around and as space to put more info. The postcards can an additional design that goes with the magnet (ocean and beach) or just a color with some info on it and a photo magnet. Or photos on the postcard and info on the magnet.

and yes, all inside an envelope at the end. I just wrote "postcards" so you knew to use that item when creating your design.
