Save The Date Magnets?

Anonymous, on February 15, 2011 at 7:17 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10

We're sending magnets with photos for our "save the date." Does anybody have any ideas on packaging for the magnets? A standard envelope seems boring, and boxes can get a little pricey.

What i saw once and wanted to do, but got lazy was super cute. It was a postcard with a small envelope glued to the side you're supposed to write on, with a note in it. I was nervous about that though if someone takes it. So maybe a postcard with your picture on the front, then the line on the back and the envelope with your magnet on the left and the names of the addressees on the right...inside of a normal envelope? that seems like a lot now haha. but it'd be super cute and probably cheaper than boxes

I ordered mine from magnet street and they came with lined envelopes, an enclosure card, address labels and a closure seal. 100 for $200. People are still talking about them as they were so nice they thought they were the actual invites.

You could dress up your envelope, i had nice return address and shipping labels plus a matching seal.

If you are looking for a unique Save the Date you may also want to consider an alternative to using a photo!

That's actually rad. but i just spent all this money on professional engagement shots, so I need to stick with the photo.

We bought small envelopes in one of our wedding colors. Although we still had to put it in a larger enevelope to mail it wasn't expensive at all. We added some ribbon to the enevelope and that is why we couldn't just mail it as is. Here's what it looked like.

I did what Andrene did. Our magnets came with lined envelops. You have to think that although packaging may be more exciting, people are likely to throw it away. The magnets are what they want. People are constantly talking about ours.
