Save the Date magnet vs card?

Tara, on October 12, 2016 at 9:27 PM Posted in Planning 0 32

FH and I really like the idea of magnets rather than cards for STDs but they can get pricey. Are magnets worth the extra cost?

Vistaprint has great prices on magnets. I love magnets because I always see the std on the fridge and it reminds me of the upcoming events.

Looking at going the magnet route too so it does not get lost floating around in my guests' homes haha I have found them to be convenient as a guest.

I feel like most people use a normal magnet to put the cards on the fridge anyways..might as well save the money & get a card.

Check out Groupon for deals - I ordered my magnet STDs using Photobook and it wasn't too much at all. I think the Groupon was $50 for $100 worth of purchase or something like that.

I like the magnet but I chose a card. Magnet is always helpful to remind people though since they see everyday.

I spent the extra to get the magnets. I don't think it was that much more but since I had a lot of couples I only had to order 40 I think. I like that someone can put it on the fridge so they can remember the date. I had one for a wedding I went to earlier this year and it really reminded me of the upcoming event.

One of the very first posts i ever read here on WW was how one girls magnet STD's got stuck to the inside of the mailbox at the post office so they were really late arriving!! That made me instantly get postcards lol.

I got mine from Magnet street. Paid $100 total and that was with a groupon. 100 STD with silver lined envelopes. That was more than I wanted to spend but I wanted to make sure they stick well to the fridge. I love them!

I spent extra to get magnets just so I knew guests could put them on their fridge and not lose them. People most likely use a different magnet to stick cards to the fridge anyway so I just went the extra step for them.

    ETA I used agiftful heart

We got a ten-pack of magnet STDs to hand-deliver to VIP's (parents, siblings, grandparents) and the rest we mailed as cards. We did mail one magnet STD all the way across the country and it got there no problem.

I ordered magnets from Vista print, the price difference wasn't that much. I think i paid $70 for 100 and that included the envelopes and return address labels.

We did magnets from Etsy because so many of our family members were crazy about the idea. They ended up being very affordable.
