Save the date.. is it too late?

Wondering if it's too late to send out save the dates. If it's still fine, would e-cards be alright?
Our wedding is on March 12, 2022 in Las Vegas but still on the planning stage. We picked this date due to the weather and my husband (we did a small wedding already) likes the place since its closer to both Arizona and California where our guests will come from.

    I would skip them. You’re going to have to send invites in about a month and a half anyways. If you really want to then just do e- cards.

    Because it's so close I would just skip on that and do invites. That's what I did for my wedding Smiley smile And you'll be saving money!

    I agree. Skip. We just sent our invites this week and are getting married 2 weeks before you - our sent the dates were sent at least 6 weeks ago.

    I would skip them. We are getting married on the same day actually!

    We sent our save the dates back in June and am sending invites out 12/1 since its a destination wedding.

    It’s a little late to send out save the dates. Your invitations should go out around 8 weeks before. So I would skip save the dates at this point.

    I don't see a problem with sending e-cards if it's free! Otherwise I would just inform everyone via text or email about your date just as a heads up or send out your invites early. My sister didn't send out save the dates, but she sent out her invites like 5 months before her wedding to ensure everyone had adequate notice.
