Save the date invitations

I’m thinking about doing our save the dates through Zazzle. Has anyone else used it and how long does it take to come?

We used Zazzle for save the dates & invites. We are really happy with them! They took about 2 weeks to arrive but we didn't pay for rush delivery (it was an option to get them sooner though).

I am slightly confused by your title. Did you mean save the dates AND invitations? Just asking, because those are two separate things, and I know some people don't realize that. I did not use Zazzle for either of mine, but I did use them for my program fans. I can't remember exactly how long it took, but I don't think it was longer than a week or so (maybe 2 max).

I want to order them by August 2nd so we can send them out the beginning of September. Do you think that’s too early since our wedding is July next year?

I don't think so. We sent our save the dates out in October 2018 for our July 2019 wedding (10 months ahead). So we ordered our save the dates in September from Zazzle. We included a small business card sized insert with our main hotel block, and we had our wedding website 100% set up. We invited 225 people, more than half were out of state, so sending them out early helped with travel costs. Even before our invites went out, we had 20 or so rooms booked in our block. Invites went out and we have another 20 booked.

We've used zazzle for all our STDs, invites and everything else. We love them. We usually get everything withing about a week and a half or so, and their customer service is excellent.

Traditionally STD’s go out 6-8 months before your wedding date. Honestly, if I got a STD any sooner than that, I would probably lose it. We sent ours out at exactly 6 months before.

Not if a lot of people need to travel though... It is recommended to send them out earlier if many people will be buying plane tickets and booking hotel rooms.

To each is own, I guess. I just personally think anything sooner than 8 months is too soon. I can easily book a flight and a hotel room in 8 months.

True, but it is easiest to catch good deals on tickets far out, and some people need to put in vacation dates early on at work.
My fiance's work is like that. All dates open for that year on January first and only two people per department can take any given date. That means that everyone puts in most of their vacation right away in January since it is first-come-first-serve.
    Either way, everyone is different!
