Save the Date for Multiple Dates?!

on May 1, 2019 at 1:14 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 1 4
I’m a little confused how to do this. We’re having a Cambodian ceremony in Chicago on December 13th and a catholic ceremony and our reception about an hour away on the 14th. I want to send out save the dates, but would it be weird to put 13th and 14th? Should I have a separate note in there explaining the 2 ceremonies? I’m not expecting everyone to go to both, but I just don’t want people to feel out of the loop!

I think it’s totally find to say Dec 13th and 14th! Do you have a wedding website? I would make sure to have it in a prominent place on the save the dates so guests can go there to see why there are two dates Smiley smile

You could also look at skipping the save the date and just sending formal invitations a bit earlier than normal.

If you think most of your guests know that you will be having a dual ceremony, on two dates, then receiving the STD with the 13th and 14th on it shouldn't be confusing. However, I agree that you should probably make a wedding website (sooner rather than later) to inform guests of what you are doing, and when. You can put your website address on your STDs, so guests can read more details before they receive the formal invitation.

I'd put both dates & locations on one save the date with a short explanation!

Hey ChiBride! I totally agree with the pp's, I would put both dates on the STD's and so that your guests will be able to make a decision as to which they would like to go to, if not both.

Have you chosen your invitations yet?
