Save the Date address etiquette

Jodie, on August 5, 2019 at 3:08 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8

Hi! I'm sure this topic has been brought up before on the forum, but I'm newer to the discussion threads. I'd like to know if it's ok to handwrite address on save the date postcards? It wouldn't be fancy, just regular ol' handwriting (I'll probably use a nice pen though Smiley smile ). I know some paper companies give the option of labels or printing the addresses on the save the dates - just curious what you all did? Again, mine won't have envelopes - just postcard form. Thanks!

I think it's totally fine to hand address them! We used a calligraphy artist but it's totally not necessary.

I think it's totally fine to handwrite. Technically, I originally tried, but I wasn't feeling the way that my handwriting looked LOL, so I decided to get them printed with the invites & Save the Dates.

That's totally fine. We hand addressed our invitations too. Didn't feel like spending the money to have it done otherwise, and I have decently neat handwriting!

I hand-addressed my save the dates with just a nice pen and standard printing, and also hand-addressed my invitations, but with brush pens and calligraphy. I didn't want to spend the extra money on having the envelopes individually printed, but my backup was using somewhere like Staples to print addresses on clear labels.
