I am trying to make a room block for my wedding in Fira Santorini and can't get ahold of any hotels and my wedding planner there said they can't help because there is a law in Greece that event planners cannot help with room blocks unless they are at the location of the wedding; only travel or tour companies can. I asked for a recommendation for a travel or tour company but they didn't have one.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

If there’s a liberty travel near you, I suggest going there and asking for help.

We used liberty travel to plan our honeymoon to Greece. All we did was tell them where and when we wanted to go and they found the best spots and booked all our travel arrangements. And stayed in our budget.

Congratulations on your engagement Raleigh!! A destination wedding in Greece sounds amazing!!
Your profile says that your wedding date is in 5 days, is that correct? (monkey eyes)
As Marieke mentioned, you should check out some local travel agents that will be able to contact hotels in Santorini for you.
Will you be honeymooning in Greece also?

Try Hotel Villa Manos. They aren't in Thira, but are very close and are the most wonderful people. I highly recommend it as a place to stay to anyone I know going to Thira and they may be able to help or point you in the right direction for places that will do a room block.

Good catch! haha My date is May 25, 2020. Won't be honeymooning there, (haven't decided where that will be yet). I will reach out to a travel agent over here, hopefully something comes of that!
