Sandals St. Lucia or Jamaica

Suzie, on December 29, 2019 at 2:40 PM Posted in Honeymoon 3 5

We are looking into Sandals resorts in either St. Lucia or Jamaica. Hawaii was my dream, but it’s too expensive. We heard St. Lucia is the “Hawaii of the Caribbean” so def has that appeal. Has anyone gone to either or both locations? Is there one you recommend the most? Our travel agent recommended Montego Bay Royal Caribbean for Jamaica, but has never been to St. Lucia. We are looking for romance as well as entertainment and excursions. Any tips would be appreciated!

We’re going to Montego Bay with a swim up and I have heard nothing but amazing things about the Montego Bay resort. Mostly that it’s the best of the Sandals resorts and all updated or at least mostly I believe. There’s a Sandals Montego Bay fan page on Facebook that you can request to join. People post all their opinions and secret tips and suggestions and it’s been a lot of help personally in planning my honeymoon. Hope this helps!

I did a lot of research on the resorts and spoke with friends of mine who have toured multiple Sandals resorts. When it comes to St. Lucia Halcyon is the best resort for beach activies, Grande is great for dining, and Regency La Toc is great for nightlife, but the beach get shutdown to rough seas.

In Jamaica, we ended up deciding on the Royal Caribbean for its relaxing more intimate nature, and a beachfront walkout. The restaurants are great here, and still offers the flexibility of going to experience other resorts.
