Sandals is a nice chain! Where are you looking?

Hey Jessica, I booked with sandals resorts in Nassau bahamas but I canceled due to their crazy rule of 80 percent of wedding guest list have to stay at the resort ! And only 20 percent can stay off the resort! it’s good for elopements !! but if you a big guest list the cost can add up!

Check out some of the older discussions about Sandals from other brides on here! A lot of people from this site have used Sandals. I have seen a lot of positives mentioned from them, although I have no personal experience with them myself.

View Quoted Comment I’ve stayed at lots of different resorts. Just depends on where and what you’re looking for... But if you’re looking for unique, I would go with a private, 5-star if your destination has one!

Brides on here are very favorable to Sandals. I looked into them for our honeymoon, and I wasn't really impressed with what I saw online. They were 1 of the first all-inclusive resort chains, so they have a lot of name recognition. We ultimately decided on an Excellence brand property and loved it (specifically Excellence El Carmen in the Dominican Republic). With Sandals, a lot of the rooms looked dated from the pictures and it looked like you only get room service included in certain room categories, which bump the price up like crazy. Excellence was more sleek and modern (which is more our vibe) and, while we upgraded our room to a swim-out suite (which they upgraded to a private pool), it was cheaper than Sandals for more time there and with more perks included in the cost.

If it wasn't for postponing ours, I would have had experience to tell you but we won't be going until Feb next year due to hurricane season. I've heard great things about it as a whole. We'll be staying in St. Lucia at Regency La Toc.

I used Sandals to go to Jamaica in 2015. It was beautiful. Our room was amazing, the activities are fun and the food is phenomenal. I saw nothing that suggested 'Run of the Mill'. I was at Sandals Montego Bay.
