Sandals honeymoon?

Makhari, on November 30, 2017 at 10:41 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 12

Hey ladies, has anyone ever been to any of the Sandals locations? My FH and are trying to find the best Sandals resort for us in Jamaica. If you have, how was your experience?

H and I went to Jamaica in April of 2015. We stayed at Sandals Whitehouse (now called South Coast). It was phenomenal. The atmosphere was great, staff was excellent, there was plenty to do all day everyday, and the food and drinks were top notch. The resort was mainly couples in their 30's and early 40's I would say. If you are looking for more of a party resort, I would recommend Sandals Montego Bay. I attached a few photos Smiley smile H actually proposed to me in that cabana.

Yes! My sister in law got married in st. Lucia, at a sandals resort and had her honeymoon there! We were there for 5 days. Fabulous! Do it!

My cousin just got back from Sandler's South Coast and they loved it. My parents have been to many sandals resorts and have said that one is their favorite.

I just came back from my honeymoon at Sandals Regency La Toc in St. Lucia and it was fabulous! St. Lucia has 3 Sandals and you can use the facilities/restaurants at all 3. We generally stayed at the La Toc although the beach at Grande is much nicer and the water calmer (if you care about that). Grande also had one of the best restaurants we went to - Gordon's.

We got an ocean view Suite with butler service and in our opinion, the butler service was worth every penny. We had chairs reserved for us at the pool every day facing the Caribbean with an umbrella, our bags unpacked, all our dinner reservations made for us, plus lots of other goodies. Since it was our honeymoon, they decorated the bed every evening, gave us a bottle of champagne upon arrival and even decorated our dinner table at some of the restaurants.

The resort itself was super clean and very beautiful. Although there were a lot of people there, it never felt crowded. They had nightly entertainment, water sports, pool games/DJ, golf, and lots of other things to do, although we generally relaxed by the pool and participated in the trivia contests by the pool and even the Newlywed game one evening.

The food was generally very good. We mostly stuck to the buffet for breakfast and lunch since it was by the pool and there was such a large variety of choices. Dinner was mixed, some restaurants were better than others (we are pretty picky) but all were good and some were great.

We both got massages and they were wonderful (and I'm a massage therapist).

Mostly, the staff was fantastic - sup nice and very accommodating.

We spent our honeymoon at Sandals Ochi. This was our first time at an all inclusive and were sooo excited for it. We ended up not really enjoying ourselves at all. Mind you, my husband and I like to adventure and our last trip was backpacking through Europe. I think we felt a little trapped on the resort and would have enjoyed a lot more freedom. It did not seem safe AT ALL to leave the resort. We're foodies and we both agreed the food was good...most of the time, but it definitely wasn't great. Our honeymoon butler suite looked nothing like the pictures. Having a butler was kind of awkward too. I don't know, we were really hoping this was going to be an awesome honeymoon and instead couldn't wait to leave. We want to try all inclusive again, but never again at a Sandals resort. From what I've discovered since then, you get waaaaaaaaaay more bang for your buck if you go to Mexico. Read lots reviews and actually take heed to the negative ones. I disregarded the negative reviews because they were so far and in between there were so many amazing reviews that outshone the bad ones. We wish we had gone ANYWHERE else. Our honeymoon was the last week of September into the beginning of October of this year.

We went to Sandals Royal Bahamian for vacation and it was the best vacation I've ever been on! The resort is small and beautiful but then there is also a private off shore island that is like having a whole second resort to explore and hang out at! The entertainment team there is AMAZING and makes an effort to get the know all of their guests! (One of the team members saw us leaving and came up and gave us a hug goodbye)!

We went to Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay and had a great time! We did a Club Level room, which provides small group check in, a full bar in our room and a few other perks. The Club staff also took care of making dinner reservations for us.

All of the food was delicious. The staff was very friendly. We had an amazing time and are already looking to go back.

A trip there can be as exciting or as relaxing as you want it to be. Each day, we thought about doing an excursion, but ended up just relaxing on the beach or by the pool.

    I highly recommend it!

I have been to Sandals Ochi and beaches in Turks and Caicos.

We had a great time at Ochi but wont lie, it totally needs some updating. One of the couples we met had been to multiple sandals and said the St Lucia one was the best. We want to try that one.

The food was great. Halfway through the stay, they changed bartenders at the pool and we had to train him how. He was super nice but it definitely wasnt consistent. I know every one has to learn sometime, but I think maybe they could have put him with someone for a day lol. He took criticism very well.

The turks beaches was amazing when we went a few years ago. I wanted to go this time where I didnt have to put up with other peoples kids.

We had a great relaxing trip but will try another one of their resorts another time.
