Sandals Butler Service

MrsMcDougall, on December 20, 2015 at 9:24 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5

I'm on mobile so I can't search, but I'm wondering if anyone has done a Sandals resort for their honeymoon and decided to get a butler class room?

We like a little extra pampering while on vacation & value great customer service, so I was thinking this might be the way to go. Basically we want tropical with good food, spa & snorkeling. And an excuse to just sit on the beach for several days.

We're also considering lots of other tropical locations (Bali, Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, etc) but is seems like Sandals will be less expensive with the same level of service as some of the fancy resorts in those places, if not better.

We're planning to go in December 2016/January 2017 for 10-14 days probably.

    HI Briana,

The butler category rooms at Sandals are wonderful, and would definitely be a great way to kick your honeymoon up a notch! I wrote an article about what Sandals Butlers can do for you, which gives you some idea of what you can ask for. You can read it here:

The first thing you will want to find out is which Sandals resort is perfect for you. Talking with a Sandals Certified Specialist will be very beneficial, as we can match you to the right resort! Each resort is very different from each other, so getting the right resort is key! We"ll also help make sense of the 17 plus room categories for each resort. Some resorts will have more activities than others, and there are also some with exchange privileges with nearby Sandals, meaning you can stay at one, and play at the others.

I went to Sandals for my first honeymoon. It was my first all inclusive experience and it really was fantastic. We did not get butler service but I don't feel like we missed out on anything because the service is exceptional no matter what. There seems to be a handful of resort workers to every couple so you never feel like there is no one around to assist you. The food was a bit generic and I think more then 7 or 8 days would get a little old. But you could always venture outside of the resort (we never were brave enough). Honestly I think by day 10 I'd be a bit bored but then again I'm not a beach lounger at all, like maybe 30mins max. And we didn't have the money to do an excursion every day (they are pretty expensive because they are separate from the resort so it's important to factor that in to cost).

Biggest downside? It's so far away from Washington! Haha. I just added this cause I know you're in the same area as me. I'm so jealous of people who live on the east coast and their short little flights (comparatively) to the Caribbean and Europe.

    Let's see if I did a 1-10 rating with 1 being shit and 10 being fan-freakin-tastic...

    Service - 9.5

    Food - 7.5

    Amenities - 8

    Resort activities - 6.5

I just booked our honeymoon at Sandals Negril and we decided to book the butler suite that comes with the service. My future SIL had her wedding in april and did the same thing for her honeymoon at a different sandals location and said the butler service was totally worth it and made her get the top notch service she wanted. They got the best spots at dinner, always had a beach/lounge chair reserved for them on the beach, you get a mobile phone to call your butler if you need anything at all. It's basically just one more aspect to give you that feeling of having totally everything taken care of and just time to focus on each other. I'm really excited about this experience. We are going in March!

We booked with Sandals Ochi. We are doing the butler village as well. I am looking forward to it so much! We wanted to be in a quieter area and these are a bit away from everything else. We chose it because we wanted our honeymoon to stand out from any other vacation. I can't wait to go! We are doing one excursion to Duns River Falls as we heard it should not be missed!

We're going to Sandals Barbados in a few weeks! We got the level right below butler service with concierge. My best friend and her husband got butler service for their honeymoon and told us that they didn't feel it was really worth it. They said it was kind of awkward at times. They recommended that we just do concierge and we will be just as happy.
