Sand Ceremony

I think it would be kind of awkward to sit in silence, but it's your choice.

I would definitely play a song or something instrumental. I was at a wedding in August and they did the The Cord of Three Strands ceremony to the left of their officiant. So half of us could not see and there was nothing was playing. We heard the bride and groom laughing because they were messing up the braid, but besides that it was dead silent and a bit awkward.

We did a sand ceremony and had no song/music. For us, the officiate made a speech letting our guests now the significance of the sand, what each layer/color stands for etc as we are pouring the sand so by the time she was done talking, we were pretty much done pouring. I would be afraid that any music would make it difficult to hear what she was saying.

We are just having our pianist play some light background music while we do our sand ceremony!

We thought about no music but we are worried that if we do no music it will be way too quiet
