Sand Ceremony Colors

Hi everyone!


My fiancé and I are getting married on the beach and are looking to do a sand ceremony. We plan to do two different colors along with some of the natural sand from the beach we’re getting married on. The big question is this: what colors do we pick?
Our wedding colors are red and white (not summery or beachy at all 😂), but our favorite colors are red and purple. Purple is not a color involved in the wedding at all but if the sand is supposed to represent us as individuals I think the purple fits me better than the white. I’ve also heard that the colors actually represent things, and you’re supposed to pick colors based off their meanings.
As an extra tidbit, we’re doing an hourglass container so the sands will be entirely mixed. The red and purple will mix well (I’ve seen examples) and I’m sure the red and white would too. So I just want to know if anyone else has done a sand ceremony, and what colors they picked?
