San Diego - Rehearsal dinner?

Brenda, on May 8, 2015 at 5:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

Anyone have ideas where to have a rehearsal dinner on a Friday evening for about 25 people? Something not too crazy expensive. Thanks in advance! Smiley smile

What part of San Diego are you in? I was looking at Shades, down in OB, my sister had her's at Old Venice and it was beautiful. Seaport Village has some nice restaurants that do that. My FMIL ended up booking a small party location called bash! Events Boutique in North Park and we're having the pierogi truck cater it. One of my good friends had hers at a cute pizza place in Hillcrest. She bought a bunch of pizzas, salad and drinks. With only 25 people, there should be a lot of restaurants with a bigger "party" room that are options. Oh, there's a couple of Mexican restaurants in Old Town (the old Bazaar Del Mundo area) that are always fun.

Yes, I think it depends on what part of SD you want it in.

We are having a rehearsal dinner in San Diego for about the same amount of people and it will be about $1000 at Tom Ham's Lighthouse. They have a private room that is really pretty. Bali Hai has something similar but the room feels a little closed in from what I remember. Here are some pictures of Tom Ham's Lighthouse.

The wedding is in La jolla. I just don't want to struggle for parking, which is why I didn't want to do it in La Jolla. Anywhere would really work.

I would second Tom's lighthouse. I went to a work event there once and it was beautiful. Also kona kai on shelter island is a nice place.
