Sample Bouquets and Bouts

Mrs. F-u-..., on July 22, 2014 at 6:18 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

Flowers have been one of my biggest IDGAFs and I feel like I should care more. I finally got some GAF when I decided to incorporate cherry blossoms into our theme. I still am having a hard time visualizing it even though I've Googled pics to get rough ideas so I'm planning on ordering a sample bouquet and bout from the florist I'm thinking of using for the wedding.

Have any of you ordered sample bouquets? Was it way off base to what you were thinking or did your florist capture it exactly perfect? Did you stay with that florist?

I think I'm anxious about this because it's my last vendor to nail down and I want to it go perfect so my search will be over for vendors.

Here is what I have so far for flowers:

One Bridal Bouquet with blush pink roses and carnations, cream roses and carnations, ivory hydrangea, and (silk) cherry blossoms. A looser bouquet and wrapped in blush pink or cream colored ribbon with the stems shown at the bottom of the bouquet

Three Bridesmaids bouquets with blush pink roses and carnations, cream roses and carnations, and a few cherry blossoms. Wrapped in the navy ribbon with the stems shown at the bottom of the bouquet (BMs are wearing navy)

One grooms boutonniere is with cherry blossom and cream rose and to be wrapped in the same ribbon as the bride's bouquet

Two groomsmen's boutonnieres with blush pink rose and to be wrapped in the navy ribbon

One boutonniere for my son with blush pink and white spray roses and to be wrapped in the navy ribbon

One boutonniere for father in law with cream roses and to be wrapped in the navy ribbon

Two mother's corsages with cream and blush rose.

One flower girl petals that are blush pink

Two blush pink roses for the rose ceremony

I didn't really care enough about the bouts to order samples, we just did a simple white orchid for the groom and a small rose for the GM to match the flowers in our bouquets. The only sample I saw was of the centerpieces and I was happy with them so had trust that the rest would look good.

I do not plan on getting samples. Flowers isn't a big deal for me and I'm going to pick what I want and have the florist wrap them for me right there. I would go w/o them, but i'm pretty such I'll need smthn to do with my hands while I'm walking down the aisle, lol
