Same photographer for engagement and wedding?

Should my wedding photographer also do the engagement photos? I'm thinking of saving a little money by going with two different photographers, but not sure how that would work out. Any advice?

Hi Jaynae'. I did not read any other posts but wanted to chime in. IMO having the same photographer for both e-session and wedding is beneficial for the following reasons :
- it allows the couple to see if they like the photograoher's approach, personality, and finished portrait work. Seeing a portfolio of one's work and experiencing the process and seeing the entire body of work are 2 totally different things.
- it gives the photographer an opportunity to see how you as a couple work best together. Do you need direction? Do you do better with less direction? What angles work best? Etc
- if you have the same photographer for both, he/she already has a jump on how to work best with you on your wedding day. That's a huge advantage IMO.
