Salt Water Taffy for Favors?

Kitten, on March 19, 2010 at 9:44 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

How early should I buy favors? I don't want to buy them too early so that the taffy has a stale flavor, but I also don't want to buy them last minute and be rushing to get them put together.... What do you guys think?

I think you will be fine buying it now. You have less than 2 months to go. If you are worried just make sure it is well sealed containers or put in ziploc bags. BTW, I saw you are getting married on Mackinac Island. I went there several years ago and loved it. Great place for a wedding!

According to Shriver's Salt Water Taffy you can freeze taffy and it defrosts perfectly for eating by just warming it up in your hand. I'm sure just sitting on the tables it would defrost too.

I think I'm using them for my favors...you should check their stuff out. Here's their link: http://www.shrivers.com/wedding-event-favors.html?SID=dc729d6dfbaba66f515341d7746957c7

    How are you presenting yours?

We are doing salt water taffy from one of our favorite vacationing spots and I'm curious to know how you would present this as well? I thought of buckets where they could help themselves....or individual boxes....I'm hoping to come up with something creative Smiley smile
