Is anyone doing a salsa first dance? I am looking for a good first dance some. My FH is guatamalan. We would both love to do a salsa song but I'd like to blend it with some sort of Americanized version of a song. So far I have a few options:

(salsa version) Thinking out loud - salsa version

Sway with me salsa

Just the way you are (salsa version)

Any other suggestions?

My ex husband was a salsa DJ and we met at a salsa club. We danced bachata for our first dance to Prince Royce's Stand By Me and then we had a 30 minute salsa lesson. It was a lot of fun and our guests really enjoyed it. We played a mix of salsa, merengue, bachata as well as American music. I changed into a shorter dress for the reception so I could dance salsa. Keep that in mind for your dress. It will be hard to dance salsa in a long dress.

You're welcome! Don't forget to bring your salsa dance shoes to change into as well. In fact, if you haven't bought your wedding shoes yet they would be a great choice because they are so pretty and comfortable.

Have you found your perfect first dance salsa, Jessica? I like the sound of a salsa version of Just the Way You Are. I think that could be fun and would start the party off right!
