So FH and I want to vacation there for our honeymoon next year. Well really I do. But he doesn't care where we go as long as the place has a hot tub and food lol. He's very laid back. This year though, we want to check out Salem for two days. October 21st & October 22nd. Since I'm obsessed with...

This year though, we want to check out Salem for two days. October 21st & October 22nd. Since I'm obsessed with Halloween, and it will also be one year since we lost our baby, we want a mini vacation to get our minds off of it. If we like Salem, we'll honeymoon there for 5 days next year.

Anyone from that area or been to Salem that can recommend hotels, things to do, etc? Around Halloween time. Thank you!

I'll be using google I just always like real people's opinions/recommendations.

Salem is great! There are tons of things to do in October. Lots of street vendors during the Halloween season too! Check out all the shops and tourist stuff. If you have more time, there's a few pretty parks in the area to look at if that's your thing. Salem Willows is on the water and a bigger park. Forest River Park is also very pretty. I went to college in Salem and a pretty big part of my reasoning to go there was because I love Halloween so much, haha!

There's definitely a lot of stuff to do, and like everyone said, if you do run out of things to do you can always go into Boston or explore other areas. Lots of rocky beaches nearby.

Salem is such a cute little town, especially during Halloween time. Just keep in mind though, that you are going during their most busiest month of the year. So the town will inundated with tourists and lots of other people. There will be a lot going on, but also just a lot of crowds. So just keep that in mind. Other than that though, it really is a great little town!
