Planning on having salad at our reception but how much do you plan for per person??

    Is all you're serving a salad? If so, I would accommodate for at least two bowls worth per person. If you're planning on serving a pre-dinner salad, one bowl per person should suffice.

    Oh no, we will be having two meat choices, potatoes, a vegetable, salad, and possibly sliced fruit. Not sure how to plan for salad and fruit.

    Is your caterer doing the salad and fruit? If they are, I would just ask them what they think would be best.

    Your caterer should be able to figure out proper portions.

    I'm going to echo the other posters. Your caterer will be able to give you a better idea. If you are building your menu with them they'll be able to give you a more accurate idea of how many servings you need.
