Still feel like I'm in shock from actually finding a dress. I've never been a super huge dress person (I went suit shopping right after to balance my emotions out since I'm going to be a groomsperson next month, haha), and I can't stop thinking about the dress!


I went to one bridal boutique last month with my mom and tried on 7 dresses and narrowed it down to 2-3 that I liked but didn't love. I left knowing what I wanted more or less of. Then I went to a different boutique yesterday with my MOH and when I was trying on my second dress, I saw a dress on a mannequin behind me in the mirror and couldn't stop looking at it. One of the consultants caught me staring and I ended up trying it on.
I didn't want to say yes right away, but when I first saw myself in the dress I almost cried and so I asked to take it off. 😂
I tried a few more dresses after that but they felt so underwhelming, I asked to try on THE dress again and knew it was the one. I honestly never thought I could be so emotional about a dress, lol. 😭

    Wow wow that really is a stunning stunning dress like its was custom made just for you. All it all the front with the beading all in the right spot the shear omg and I love love the back and train is long enough. I'm so happy for you I was getting emotional right now and we dont know each other. So happy that you had your moment 👍🏽🥰🥰👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

    Thank you! I can't believe it was just about my size too and all the buttons closed in the back. They only had to clip the sleeves (it has bishop/cap sleeves by default, but has the option to not have poofy sleeves which I requested) and it just felt so right.

    Awe your welcome couldn't lie you do looks amazing in your dress. My dress too is my size and it's a corset and sweetheart neckline so with my body shaper wear on my body looks sick in the dress. Sorry Sick means gorgeous in my dress. If you want I would love to see you in your dress once its all of the alterations are done

    That sounds amazing! I was wearing shapewear to my dress appointment too, though my bridal consultant said it would still look fine without especially since the dress is so fitted at the top and the ballroom gown gives so much shape.

    And no apologies needed! I totally got you. 🤗 Sweetheart neckline sounds gorgeous! Is yours altered already?

    I'll have to remember to post an update when I have it in and altered!

    No it doesn't need it except maybe I will have my dry cleaner who are also do tailoring too hem thebotton abit or I will leave it just the way it is. My dress fits me to the T and it's a corset back

    I'm still shocked I found a dress so fast that had so many things I wanted because I was looking for things that hadn't been shown off as much (long sleeves AND a high neck that was on an A-line or ballgown). I was ready to compromise since I kept trying on dresses with long sleeves and a deep neckline or dresses that were more fitted like mermaid or trumpet with sleeves and high neck. 😍

    It's been so long, but I finally have it altered (getting married next week!!!)

    I gained some weight since I bought it, but thankfully I ordered one size up, and I can manage that.
