Rvsp

Okay so our wedding is August 19th of this year and my mom is making up the invitations, she put to rsvp by July 1st. Is this too early? Too late? I'm not sure and need help!

I'd set your rsvp deadline about a week and a half to 2 weeks before your venue/caterer requires final numbers. This gives you a cushion to follow up with missing rsvps. We set ours a little less than a month before our wedding.

I'm setting mine about 5-6 weeks before. Any later than that and my anxiety will take over.

Wedding is March 26, my RSVP deadline is March 10, my venue doesn't need final numbers until 3 days before the event. I only sent out 36 invites about 60-65 people invited, if it was a bigger guest list I would make RSVP about a month before wedding date.

Too early, when are the final number due? I'd say make the RSVP deadline about a week before the final numbers are due.

You're getting married on my birthday! Nice date :-)

I'd go with about 2 weeks before your caterer/ florist/ etc needs your final numbers. This allows you time to follow up with stragglers. My rsvp date is April 21 for my May 21 wedding.

I think it's too early. Things change in six weeks. My RSVP date is 02/10 for a 03/05 wedding. Venue needs final numbers a week before.

That's pretty early but it depends when your final head count is due to the venue / caterer. Set it for 2 weeks before that deadline. That will give you time to contact the non-responders.

I think it's fine actually; a little early, but I wouldn't reprint them. You probably need to get your venue a count by two weeks ahead, and as we've seen, you'll have to chase rude people around for their answers.

I thought ridiculously early, but my coordinator suggested requesting responses a full two months in advance, so that's what I did. I don't want to be stressing out about final numbers (not actually due till two weeks/10 business days before) chasing down rsvps for 250 people at the last minute. But most of my family is traveling from out of town so they'll likely have some idea of whether they're coming by then.

Date twin! I also put July 1st but I have a lot of out of country guests so I'm assuming if they don't have plane tickets by then they won't be coming. I think it's also easier to start calling once the RSVPs don't show up and you have enough time before the wedding to not stress.
